Denny Kuruklis
Founder & Owner
Denny founded Virdual IT in 2019 with a simple goal: give small and midsize businesses the kind of dedicated, responsive IT support usually reserved for companies with enterprise budgets. Before starting Virdual, he worked in IT infrastructure at Walsh Construction, where he earned a reputation for diving into new technologies rather than working around them. That same instinct, solve it properly and don’t just patch it, is what he built Virdual on.
He’s not a founder who stepped back from the technical work. Denny still gets into the weeds on network builds, security configurations, and the occasional 2 AM server issue, because he genuinely likes this stuff. He tinkers with home lab setups for fun, is particular about how a network is architected, and has been known to spend a weekend fine-tuning something nobody else would notice, the kind of curiosity that translates directly into how carefully Virdual’s clients’ systems get built and maintained.
Based in the Chicago suburbs, Denny leads a team that supports businesses across Chicagoland, including healthcare and legal clients who have no room for downtime or security missteps. Clients often mention that when something comes up, Denny is the one who picks up the phone and sees it through personally, a habit that hasn’t changed as the company has grown. Outside of Virdual, he also runs VoIP Heroes, the company’s voice and communications brand, and has a longstanding interest in Greek language and culture that ties back to his own roots.
Spiro Fiotakis
Support Lead
Spiro is an Engineering Technology graduate focused on IT systems, networking, and infrastructure, with a strong understanding of how hardware and software operate together in real-world environments. He brings hands-on experience supporting system integration and deployment projects using Crestron control platforms and Ubiquiti networking equipment, along with Windows and Linux systems.
His work covers network configuration, system installation, firmware and software updates, troubleshooting, and documenting technical processes. Spiro brings a systems-level mindset with a focus on understanding root causes, improving reliability, and maintaining stable environments rather than just resolving surface-level issues.
Comfortable working in team environments and supporting live systems, he communicates effectively with both technical teams and end users while continuously building his skills across IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
